Dementia A NEW ( VR) REALITY

Dementia affects many people in Hillingdon and has many effects on the lives of those diagnosed. The symptoms of dementia often mean those diagnosed find it harder to manage at home and find it more difficult to leave home, leaving many families with no alternative but to seek residential care for loved ones suffering with Dementia.
Our project utilises cutting edge Virtual Reality technology to give those with dementia the opportunity to experience
virtually many activities including; daytrips , memorable footage and other unique activities that would be difficult to take part in without using VR
Our projects gives those with dementia the chance to experience new things, interact with the world and simply enjoy the simple things we take for granted such as the local park or a favourite café.
scientific research suggests this type of project slows dementia progression in as many as 60% of cases, this is hugely significant to the quality of life for somebody diagnosed with Dementia
